Fantasy Forest
In 1996, the Zonta Club of Lapeer Area transitioned from operating a Haunted House to hosting the Fantasy Forest, a family-friendly fall event. Held annually at Rowden Park in Lapeer, local organizations and businesses set up stations along the park’s mile-long walking path. Each station decorates with a theme and provides an activity and a treat for the kids. Every child receives a treat bag that comes with an advertiser and activity booklet. The Fantasy Forest is geared to children ages 10 and under, and there are approximately 1,200 children and families who visit the Forest and its 40-plus stations each year.
Businesses and organizations interested in participating as advertisers and/or stations can review the invitation letter and participant guidelines for stations and submit the attached form.
Advance tickets ($3.00 instead of $3.50 at the gate) for this year’s Fantasy Forest (Saturday, October 10, 2009) are available at all Lapeer County Bank & Trust locations.
The funds raised by the Fantasy Forest allow the Zonta Club of Lapeer Area help our community. The funds raised in our community stay in our community.
